Hello. I am an Everything batter. I’m the THE ULTIMATE everything batter because I am low in calories, low in fats, low in carbs, gluten free, soy free, wheat free, flour free, sugar free, dairy free, and all natural. I mimic the look, texture, and sometimes the taste of flour and breads, but teehee! I am so much healthier and better than those guys πŸ™‚

MY GOODNESS YOU’RE SO YUMMY CUTE I COULD JUST EAT YOU.

I also love this recipe because the batter mimics that of real flour(so use this to fool people!) to make seemingly high carb dishes when in reality, they have none of that blood sugar spiking, anti-nutrient qualities a high carb dish has. This batter is so versatile you can make anything with it:

  • CrΓͺpes and pancakes
  • Waffles
  • Bread
  • Pizza
  • Burritos & wraps
  • Biscuits
  • Cake
  • The possibilities are endless

Don’t worry; I’ll show you how to make some of these!

In addition, please make sure to bookmark this page because many of my future recipes will call for the use of this recipe as a base, thickener, shell, etc.

Β I’ve recently been looking into waffle machines so the results of this delicate recipe shape holds better. I’ve looked at future shop and walmart and wonder if I should expand my search to amazon. I’ve never purchased anything on amazon and wasn’t a fan of it when it first became a hit, but now as I see more and more people purchase things online and as I find that more exotic products can be found online than in-store, I’m thinking of jumping on the bandwagon too. Have you purchased anything from there before? What did you think of it?

5 stars for versatility!

  • 1 tsp. Baking powder
  • 2 tbsp protein powder(any will do; I used Whey)

  • 1/2 cup almond milk
  • 4 egg whites(or 1 yolk 3 whites)

Instructions

  1. Mix the dry ingredients.

This is so cool! I love the list of yummy foods I can make. Can’t wait to give it a try!
    Thanks

  • I love this! I have never cooked with milks before – would water work? Otherwise, I guess I could use un-sweetened coconut milk. I was THISCLOSE to just buying some, but I just couldn’t wrap my brain around it, LOL!

    • I think water would work just fine, in fact, it’d probably make it even lower calorie than it already is! Coconut milk would work as well, just note it would have a coconutty taste. Enjoy! πŸ™‚ almond milk is my favourite milk of all and I highly suggest it as a staple in your house!

      • I cant have nuts! πŸ™

        • AHHH HA HA HA AH AH! Well…… Tree nuts! πŸ˜‰

          • That’s a shame! Nut allergies really must suck, because it makes eating low carb desserts hard. But…because it’s not concentrated…Let me know if you try it! Maybe even make a blog post about trying new foods you’ve never tried before πŸ™‚

  • Lovely post! The dish looks real healthy. Thanks your your entry @ Luxury Haven! I host giveaways regularly so do come by often πŸ™‚

  • Kierston

Awesome. Thanks for linking up to #RECIPEFRIDAAY πŸ™‚

  • Another healthy option! I love breakfast food and this just helped me think of something really healthy for breakfast. =)

  • Elizabeth Lund

So great and healthy! I haven’t used almond milk. Must check that out! Thank you!

  • jillconyers

No wonder you call it the everything batter. I can think of so many recipes to healthify by using your recipe.

  • This is fantastic! What a great substitute. I still need to experiment with coconut flour.. time to get some!

    • Coconut flour tends to soak up and require a lot of moisture, so a little goes a long way! It’s one of those ingredients you shouldn’t take too lightly and become more experienced with! I’ve had my fair share of baking troubles. Just a heads up!

  • And I’ve bookmarked it! Now to get the ingredients! I look forward to seeing the possibilities!

  • Amber

Well THIS is very creative πŸ™‚ I never ever bake/make pancakes/waffles/etc. because the batter part is too hard to master, THIS may inspire me πŸ™‚

  • Diatta Harris

That looks delicious! I need to try and use this to trick my family. Question – where do you get coconut flour? #wowlinkup

    • I get it at my local bulk store, but if you can’t find it there, I’m sure you can find it at your local health food store πŸ™‚

  • I might have to give this a try and I’m pinning your recipe for future use. I still love my wheat LOL and visiting from the #wowlinkup

  • Oooh this looks awesome! Thanks for sharing and look forward to more recipes like this #wowlinkup

  • Amanda H

Oh I love the idea of having a great multi-purpose batter to use for lots of recipes! Thanks for sharing on the #wowlinkup!

  • Sophie G

Instead of 4 egg whites(or 1 yolk 3 whites) could I just do TWO whole eggs?

  • Sophie G

ALSO – how many pancakes would this recipe yield?

  • CH

May I ask what the point of posting all of this is, if you’re not going to post anything like nutritional info, serviing size, number of servings, or have answers to questions like “Where do you get that?”
